Overview
A cage nut (floating nut) holds a high-strength nut in a spring steel cage. It snaps into a pre-punched square or rectangular hole with a simple tool, and can be removed and repositioned.
The floating nut allows for slight misalignment. It is the standard fixing for server racks, electrical cabinets, railway, vehicles and moulds, used with matching crown screws.
